Who we are
PlayExpert reviews, scores and compares online casinos for Canadian players. PlayExpert is an Ontario company. Mailing address: First Canadian Place, 100 King Street West, Toronto. Email: support@playexpert.ca.
What we collect when you visit
We use Google Analytics 4 to measure how playexpert.ca is used: the pages you view, how far you scroll, which sections, FAQs and tables you open, the links and buttons you click (including links to casino sites), the page you came from, your browser, device type and screen size, your approximate location (city level, from your IP address, which Google does not store) and site errors and loading speed. If you subscribe to our newsletter we keep your email address; if you send a player review we keep what you wrote and the name you chose to show.
Cookies we use
- _ga and _ga_MTLRFMYGRF (Google Analytics, 13 months): tell visits apart and group them into sessions.
- pe_consent (PlayExpert, 13 months): remembers your cookie choice.
- Cloudflare may set security cookies such as __cf_bm (30 minutes) to protect the site from bots.
We also turn on Google signals, which lets Google add aggregated, anonymous demographic and interest reports for visitors signed in to Google accounts with ad personalization turned on.
Why we collect it
To find out which reviews, guides and offers are useful, fix broken pages and links, make pages faster, and see which casino links readers use. PlayExpert earns a commission when a reader opens an account through some of these links; see How we make money.
Visitors in Quebec: your consent
If you visit from Quebec, Google Analytics stays off until you click Accept in our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.
How long we keep data
Google Analytics keeps event and user data for 14 months, then deletes it. Newsletter emails are kept until you unsubscribe. Player reviews stay published until you ask us to remove them.
Who we share data with
Google (as our analytics provider) and Cloudflare (hosting and security). When you click a link to a casino, the casino and its affiliate programme see that the visit came from PlayExpert; we do not pass them your name, email or any other personal information. We never sell personal information.
Your choices and rights
Use "Cookie settings" to accept or decline analytics cookies, or install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA, and Quebec's Law 25 for Quebec residents) you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and withdraw your consent. Write to support@playexpert.ca and we will reply within 30 days.

When we change this policy we update the date at the top of this page.
